Marissa Martinez
Women’s Discipleship & Groups Minister
I grew up in San Antonio, where God used my family, the ministry of Young Life, and his Word to expose my brokenness and my need for Jesus, and to show me the abundant life that can only be found in him.
I received my undergrad from Texas A&M University in 2013 and completed my Masters in Theological Studies at Southern Seminary in 2021. I have been serving the Lord in vocational ministry since graduating college and my love for the church and God’s people only continues to increase. After helping to plant a church in Bryan/College Station for five years, I moved to Dallas in 2019 to join in the work that God is doing in and through Eastside Community Church.
Over the years, the Lord has sown in me a deep love for the Word of God and a desire to foster Biblical literacy within the church. Along with Biblical literacy, I’m passionate about women’s discipleship, teaching the Bible, and empowering women to be a vital and vibrant part of the body of Christ. In my off time, I love to encourage women and write over at marissalmartinez.com.
My hope for Eastside is that we would be known as a people who deeply love and reflect Jesus to one another, our neighbors, and the nations.
